Fruit of The Week: Apricots

I am not a trained and skilled attorney, but I have come today to make a case for the often-overlooked apricots.  I am thrilled to make this first post in the category of "Fruit of The Week".  Each week a different fruit will be selected and given its moment in the spotlight.

You will discover basic information, nutritional values, health benefits and a few ideas to help you put the fruit in action. I hope that you will enjoy these “Fruit of The Week” segments.  As usual, your comments and feedback are always welcome. Apricots2Basic Overview

Apricots are beautifully orange colored fruits full of beta-carotene and fiber. Although dried and canned apricots are available year-round, fresh apricots with a plentiful supply of vitamin C and are in season in North America from May through August. Any fresh apricots you see during the winter months have been imported from either South America or New Zealand.
